MAXKO Hosting review

The entry plan is listed at €14 on monthly billing. That sits above the €5.83 median entry price across the brands compared here, so the higher figure buys a larger starting specification rather than a discount.

The entry plan lists 4 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe SSD, and the operating systems covered are linux and windows. That is the full starting specification behind €14, and no smaller starter tier is described, so the hardware jump begins fairly high.

Bandwidth is Unmetered, up to 10 Gbps per connection, so heavy transfer does not add a separate charge to the €14 bill. That suits game servers and busy sites that would otherwise carry egress fees on a metered network.

DDoS protection is included with the VPS service, and the company holds ISO/IEC 27001. Support also runs on email, chat and help centre for anyone raising an incident, so both security and contact routes are covered.

The provider is based in Croatia and operates 6 data centre locations across HR, HU and BG. The legal entity behind the service is MAXKO d.o.o., and it has been operating since 2014.

Billing runs on monthly terms only, with no hourly or reserved option listed for the VPS service. Short projects therefore pay for a full month, which is the main cost difference against providers that meter by the hour.

MAXKO Hosting lists €14 at entry, Aruba lists €1.99 and UCloud lists $5.34. On entry cost alone the lower listings win, while MAXKO Hosting pairs its higher figure with unmetered bandwidth and DDoS protection.

The published uptime commitment is 99.99% to 99.999%, and the service is aimed at game server. Teams running persistent game servers gain most from that pairing, since the stated use case and the network terms point the same way.
