What is Free egress (GB)?
In short
The gigabytes of outbound traffic a provider includes each month before it starts charging.
Egress is data leaving a provider, and every outbound gigabyte can carry a fee, so a free allowance gives small projects a real cushion. Providers list this allowance per month, and it usually applies to storage and delivery rather than to all traffic. Akamai Connected Cloud includes 1,000 GB a month, Aruba Cloud includes 40,960 GB, and Amazon Web Services includes 100 GB. A generous allowance is the quickest way to trim a modest bill.
