What is Proxy types?
In short
Proxy types describe where a proxy server sits and whose connection it carries, and that choice shapes the price, speed and detection risk of each request.
Proxy types name the origin of the IP address a request runs through. Residential proxies use addresses assigned to real consumer devices, datacenter proxies run in hosting facilities, mobile proxies use cellular networks and ISP proxies are hosted by internet service providers. The mix on offer shapes both cost and detection risk. Bright Data offers residential, datacenter and mobile, Crawlbase offers residential, datacenter and mobile and Browserbase offers residential. Narrower sets tend to be simpler to reason about, while broader sets give more room to switch when one kind of address gets blocked.
