Methodology
Every calculator is backed by live pricing data refreshed daily. Here is where the numbers come from and how to read them.
Every price we display comes from the cloud provider's own published pricing page or API - never scraped aggregators, never crowdsourced.
Prices are captured at least daily. When a provider drops a rate or launches a new instance type our ingestion pipeline picks it up on the next run.
We normalize every price to US dollars so you can compare providers head-to-head without mental currency math. Where a provider publishes in another currency we apply the same-day mid-market rate.
The calculators use on-demand (pay-as-you-go) pricing unless you opt into reserved or committed-use tiers. Committed-use discounts can be substantial; check each provider's detail page for those rates.
